1. First of all, you have to speak with the interstate department of your local friend of the court and make sure your case is established at the friend of the court in the state where your child's father lives at. The workers at the friend of the court seem to say that they are going to check on the status, but everytime they call you back its the same thing, ..nothing...

2. Then you need to get the county and phone number of that Friend of the Court. See if your local Friend of the Court will give it to you.

3. If they wont, go online to the state in which he or she resides, you need the state website, such as michigan.gov, your going to have to so a-little research. Find the section that lists the counties that are in the state. (If you know what county or city that will help you and save a-lot of time.

4. Once you've got the county name, you need to call the number that is listed for them, or search for the Friend of the Court in that area. Call that friend of the court, give them your information and state that you want to check on your case, they will give you the information not to mention it gets everyone moving faster. I know a few people that have done this and they didn't get $$$$ for years, and after they made a few phone calls, they began getting payments within a few months
