How to Make Broccoli Cheese Pie
Broccoli and cheese are a wonderful combination. And when baked together in a pie, with a little of this and a dash of that, they complement each other perfectly. Things You'll Need
- 1 package frozen chopped broccoli (rinse under cool water to thaw) or 2 cups fresh broccoli, chopped (cook until tender)
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 2/3 cup chopped onion
- 1-1/3 cups milk
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup baking mix
- Salt and pepper to taste

Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly grease a 10-inch pie plate.

Mix broccoli, 1-1/2 cups cheese and onion in the pie plate. In a small bowl, beat milk, eggs, seasoning and baking mix until smooth. Pour into the plate.

Bake until inserted knife comes out clean, about 25 to 35 minutes.

Top with remaining cheese and bake another 2 minutes until cheese is melted. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

Tips & Warnings
Make sure broccoli is chopped into small enough pieces to cook thoroughly.
Other ingredients, such as sliced mushrooms or sharp cheese like swiss, can also be added.
Let pie cool a few minutes before cutting.
