Are your fingers achy from always working on a computer? You can do simple exercises daily to relieve your hand cramps and have more flexible fingers. Follow these steps to stretch your wrists, hands and fingers in a few minutes.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Extend your left arm and hand forward. Use your right hand to gently extend each finger back one by one.

  2. Step 2

Using your right hand, take all your left hand fingers back at the same time gently to stretch open your palm.

  3. Step 3

Repeat Steps 1 and 2 with your other hand to stretch your right hand and fingers.

  4. Step 4

Raise your arms in a 90 degree angle and make fists. Slowly open and close your fists, stretching and extending your fingers and thumb out. Then slowly rotate your wrists in both directions. Shake out your wrists.

  5. Step 5

Put your palms together and pointed upwards as if you were praying. Press your palms together firmly to stretch. Slowly lower your hands until your arms are in a horizontal position. You should feel the stretch.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do your stretching exercises slowly–never use jerking motions. Perform these exercises daily for improved flexibility and to relieve tension in your fingers and wrists.
  • If you have persistent pain, consult a physician.
