There is nothing more refreshing during the spring and summer months than snacking on foods that taste good AND are good for you. One of the prettiest and most delicious new ideas is creating fun fruit-ka-bobs for your next party. They are colorful, tasty and will brighten up any table filled with food.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cutting board or surface
  • A round platter
  • Ka-bob skewers (enough to fill the platter)
  • A sharp knife
  • Various colorful fruit: pineapple, melon, strawberries, cantaloupe, red and green seedless grapes (you can add other favorites as well - your choice!)
  • Small bowls to hold the cut fruit

    How to create fruit ka-bobs

  1. Step 1

Wash your fruit and prepare your cutting surface with a knife and the skewers (Little tip: ka-bob skewers can be found at your local supermarket in the meat department)

  2. Step 2

Carefully slice each type fruit into squares and put them into separate bowls until later

  3. Step 3

Once all the fruit is sliced, take a skewer and add your fruit in an attractive way (Little tip: use a red or green grape on the sharp end of the skewer)

  4. Step 4

Continue to create the same pattern for each ka-bob until all the fruit has been used or you run out of skewers or room on the platter (Extra idea: put any unused cut fruit into a larger bowl for a quick fruit salad)

  5. Step 5

The platter should have skewers circling out from the middle, with the grapes in the center, forming a ring pattern with each color

  6. Step 6

    Enjoy!
