The Rum Swizzle is a popular drink that originates from the Caribbean Island nation of Bermuda. Bermuda’s famed Swizzle Inn first invented the drink. The Rum Swizzle takes full advantage of Bermuda’s most famous export, Rum. Here is how you can make your very own Rum Swizzle, just the way it is made at the Swizzle Inn.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 Ounces of Dark Rum
  • 4 Ounces of Barbados Rum or Amber Rum
  • 2 Juiced Lemons
  • 5 Ounces Orange Juice
  • 5 Ounces Pineapple Juice
  • 2 Ounces Triple Sec
  • 2 Ounces Bermuda falernum or simple sugar syrup
  • 4 Dashes of Angostura bitters
  • Cracked Ice

    How to Make a Rum Swizzle

  1. Step 1

    In a large pitcher, add your falernum (or sugar syrup), Triple Sec, Lemon Juice, Orange Juice and Pineapple Juice.

  2. Step 2

    Add the cracked ice to the pitcher, followed by the rum, and stir again. You do not need to stir briskly, just enough to blend the ingredients.

  3. Step 3

    Put 4 dashes of bitters into the mixture, cover, and shake until the mixture become frothy on top.

  4. Step 4

    Pour into Tom Collins glasses, and garnish with a lime wedge on the edge of the glass.
