1. So, you are having a conversation with your significant other and cannot seem to shake the feeling that what they have told you is a lie. It can be hard to come to grips with thinking your mate is not being honest. It is important not to let your mate change topics or include irrelevant additional details.

2. Act disbelieving and suspicious while appearing somewhat confused; look off into the distance as if to make your mate believe their hypothetical lie may have conflicted with another piece of information recently revealed.

3. Ask follow up questions, but act as if you are making idle conversation. Gauge the facial expressions and body language of your mate. Fidgeting, touching the neck or face and blushing are signs that your mate could not be telling the truth. Do they pause before answering further questions?
