Some of the best blends come from the unexpected, and the black velvet is no exception. An unusual marriage of stout and sparkling white wine, newcomers to this drink may be surprised at its smooth, dark tones.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2-1/2 oz. stout
  • 2-1/2 oz. sparkling white wine
  • Champagne flute
  1. Step 1

    Tilting the champagne flute to minimize foam, fill half full with stout.

  2. Step 2

    Carefully pour the wine into the champagne flute, floating it atop the stout.

  3. Step 3

    Serve and enjoy!
