Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 pounds large shrimp
  • 2 Tbsp. spicy brown mustard
  • 3 Tbsp. Tabasco sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. crushed garlic
  • 4 large oranges
  • 1 lemon
  • Metal or wooden skewers
  • Large mixing bowl

    How to BBQ Shrimp

  1. Step 1
    Uncooked Shrimp

    Wash and peel shrimp.

  2. Step 2
    BBQ Marinade
     
    BBQ Marinade

    In a bowl, mix the mustard, garlic and Tabasco into the orange and lemon juice.

  3. Step 3
    Skewered Shrimp

    Preheat the grill as you skewer the shrimp.

  4. Step 4
    Basted Shrimp

    Thoroughly baste both sides of the skewered shrimp with the mustard mixture.

  5. Step 5

    Grill the skewers for 3 to 5 minutes on each side.

Tips & Warnings
  • Fresh shrimp should be used within a couple days, as they are very perishable.
  • If you are using wooden skewers, be sure to soak them in water for one hour prior to use.
  • Shrimp give off an ammonia smell when they go bad. Another sign that the shrimp is not fresh is that they no longer feel firm to the touch.
