Instructions

    • 1

Remove any dirt or debris from the boot in order to start with a clean surface.

    • 2

Dip the cotton ball or soft cloth into the shoe polish and apply it to the area of the boot you wish to polish. When applying the polish use thin, smooth layers.

    • 3

Brush the surface of polish on the boot using light, even strokes until either flush to the surface of the boot or a noticeable yet diminished gloss appears.

    • 4

Get a fresh cotton ball (or soft cloth) and dip it in water until wet but not soaked. Apply another thin layer of polish to the boot. Now using the fresh wet cotton ball, gently rub the polish in a circular motion until an even, noticeable shine appears. Repeat as desired to a high glossy shine.

    • 5

Dry the surface of the shined boot using a dry cotton ball or cloth to remove any excess water.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be sure to match the color of the polish to the boot.

  • Use newspaper or plastic wrap to cover the area where you are working.

  • A soft bristled applicator brush works best.

  • Always check the manufacturer's maintenance notes for the boots before shining.

  • Do not apply polish to areas of the boot you do not want soiled in polish.

One thing to consider first is to break down your boot which means taking off any previous wax off and sanding your boot leather with sand paper. (150-250 grit) Be sure to sand everything till it apears suede in nature. This will help your boots not crack as much on the sides or surfaces that don't take polish very well. Once done it never needs to be done again. New Boots need to be worn for a few days before polishing to build up natural creases in the boots. And for that proffessional look ad some Edge dressing to the rubber parts of your boot when done.
