How to Cook Roast Beef

Cooking your seasoned roast beef in the crock pot all day will create a flavorful, tender and juicy meal for supper. Here's how to do just that.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Roast Beef
  • Garlic Cloves
  • Paring Knife
  • Garlic Powder
  • Onion Powder
  • Crock Pot
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Water
  1. Step 1

    Peel 3 or 4 garlic cloves and cut into thick slivers. Create deep slits randomly in the roast beef and embed garlic slivers into the meat.

  2. Step 2

    Season meat with a dusting of garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.

  3. Step 3

    Place roast beef into crock pot. Add water to pot (about halfway up the side of roast). Set crock pot to low and cook for 6- 8 hours.

  4. Step 4

    When meat is done, it should be "fall apart" tender. Serve hot. Carefully pour left over liquid into serving bowl and serve as a sauce.

  5. Step 5

    Serve with mashed potatoes and steamed asparagus or green beans.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have any roast beef left over, shred meat with fork and add favorite BBQ sauce. Serve on hamburger buns with fries for a delicious BBQ roast beef sandwich.
