How to Apply Frontline Plus

Fleas and ticks on your dog are not only a nuisance, but can also be a health hazard. Frontline Plus kills not only fleas and ticks but their eggs and larvae as well. It is easy to apply and very effective. Frontline Plus can be used for dogs or cats.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Frontline Plus
  • Scissors
  • Your pet
  • Optional: someone to help keep the pet still if you have a very active pet
  1. Step 1

    Purchase the correct dosage of Frontline Plus, according to the weight of your pet.

  2. Step 2

    Remove the applicator packet from the box. Frontline Plus applicators are green. (Regular Frontline applicators are blue.)

  3. Step 3

    Separate one applicator by tearing at perforation or by using scissors.

  4. Step 4

    Remove applicator from child-proof packaging by tearing or cutting off the top of the packaging and peeling down the foil backing.

  5. Step 5

    Hold the applicator upright and snap off the tip, making sure to snap it away from you.

  6. Step 6

    Remove the pet's collar.

  7. Step 7

    Part the pet's fur between the shoulder blades so that the skin is showing.

  8. Step 8

    Place the tip of the applicator right on the skin and squeeze out the entire contents of the applicator. Dispose of the applicator properly, putting it into a trash receptacle.

  9. Step 9

    Replace your pet's collar.

  10. Step 10

    Do not bathe your pet or let him swim for 24 hours after application.

  11. Step 11

    Repeat application every month.
