Instructions

    • 1

Pre-heat a skillet over medium heat for 15 seconds.

    • 2

Add in raw ground beef (you can also use ground chuck or just about any other ground meat, including turkey) and break up using your spoon or spatula into small pieces. Add seasonings of your choice to the skillet while cooking to add in flavor.

    • 3

Continue stirring meat, making sure to flip around the pieces that are getting brown so that all sides end up getting browned. Keep the heat medium or low to reduce the risk of cooking the meat too quickly

    • 4

Drain the meat using a strainer over a large bowl, once the meat is all brown and there is no pink showing.

Tips & Warnings

  • Keep browned meat in a covered dish to keep warm.

  • Drain the meat mixture into a strainer with a bowl underneath and discard the grease from the meat in a glass container that can be closed; I recycle spaghetti sauce jars or salsa jars.

  • Always use caution when cooking.
