How to Cook a Beef Brisket

If you like cooking with beer, this beef brisket recipe is the perfect opportunity. The perfect cut of meat for roasting, grilling or even making corned beef, a good brisket is not only easy to cook, but amazingly tasty!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Beef brisket
  • Large onion
  • Garlic powder
  • Fresh ground pepper
  • Season salt
  • 1 bottle of your favorite beer
  • Aluminum Foil
  • Large roasting pan
  1. Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 225 degrees F.

  2. Step 2

    Line large roasting pan with aluminum foil.

  3. Step 3

    Place the brisket on the foil and add a the desired amount of seasoning.

  4. Step 4

    Chop an onion into large pieces, so that you can remove them easily from the pan, and sprinkle the onions over the brisket.

  5. Step 5

    Add a bottle of your favorite beer, making sure to cover the brisket. You will need approximately 16 to 24oz.

  6. Step 6

    Fold the sides of the foil over the top of the brisket and crimp together; making a pouch.

  7. Step 7

    Place in the preheated oven for 6 to 8 hours depending on the size of the brisket.

  8. Step 8

    Remove the brisket from the oven and drain any liquid.

  9. Step 9

    Add barbecue sauce and return the brisket to the oven for 20 to 30 minutes to allow the barbecue sauce to warm.

  10. Step 10

    Remove from oven and allow brisket to rest for 15 minutes before serving.

Tips & Warnings
  • When lining the roasting pan be sure to use enough foil to comfortably accommodate brisket. You will need more than you think because the brisket will be entirely enclosed in the foil.
