Do you ever have those moments when you’re running late to get home and upon your arrival everyone asks you “What’s for dinner?” These are the times when you are thankful you took that extra ten minutes this morning to prepare dinner in the slow cooker so it would be ready upon your arrival. This is a beef shank recipe you will surely enjoy.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 16 oz. can Tomato Sauce
  • Onion Soup Mix
  • One Can of Tomato Soup
  • One Can of Condensed Beef Broth
  • Beef Shanks
  • Slow Cooker

    How to Cook Beef Shank

  1. Step 1

    Plug in your slow cooker and set the temperature to high for eight hours.

  2. Step 2

    Gather the envelope of onion soup mix, tomato sauce, tomato soup, beef broth and beef shanks.

  3. Step 3

    Place three beef shanks in the bottom of the slow cooker. Mix together the soup mix, tomato soup and half a can of tomato sauce. Pour this mixture over the beef shanks.

  4. Step 4

    Place the remaining beef shanks over the mixture in the slow cooker. Pour the remaining sauce and condensed beef broth over the beef shanks. That’s it! A simple, delicious meal will be ready for you when you get home.
