If you suffer from heartburn, you're well aware of that horrible sensation of burning that can stop you in your tracks. Heartburn is a condition that starts when stomach acid moves upwards towards the heart, causing a reaction from the extra substance being in the wrong area of the body. If you want to try a new way of relieving your heart burn, you can start with Chinese Medicines.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Chinese herbs
  • list of Qigong exercises

Be Aggressive

Step1
Start before the heartburn starts. You can use a method called Qigong in order to support defenses from heartburn. This is an ancient tradition which allows the energies of the body to flow in the correct way, and helps to relieve stress. Doing this every day for five minutes will provide a basis for not only stopping your condition but will also result in healthier living and less stress.
Step2
Mix in Chinese herbs. There are 12 herbs that are used in Chinese medicine that are blended together in a formula that specifically targets heart burn, known as Chai Hu Shu Gan Tang. Because of the specific amounts contained in the ingredients, you will want to find one that is pre-mixed from a natural Chinese health store.
Step3
Add in acupuncture. Chinese medicine also recommends that you combine the herbs and Qigong practice with acupuncture in order to relieve some of the stresses or imbalances in your body. Meeting with an acupuncturist once every month or six weeks will provide you with less stress and will start to target the imbalances in your stomach.
Step4
Change your eating habits. For those who suffer from heartburn, it is recommended that certain foods are avoided until the stomach acids begin to move to a balance. This includes eating a wide range of vegetables, ginger, beans and dairy while avoiding spicy and greasy foods as well as large amounts of alcohol.
