How to Heady Tea for Headaches

Heady tea is great for relieving migraines, sinus headaches, and everyday stress headaches. Drinking this tea can make your headaches subside. It may be necessary to lie down for about fifteen minutes after drinking the tea to give it a chance to work its miracle. Heady tea will cure a sinus headache associated with a sinus infection, but will not cure the sinus infection. Migraines are relieved within the hour after drinking the tea. This tea is a great alternative to medications or pain relievers. For tension headaches, another mixture can be used.

  • 2 parts peppermint leaves
  • 2 parts feverfew leaves
  • 1 part rosemary

  1. How to Make Heady Tea for Headaches

    • 1

      Place 4 cups of water into a pot and bring to a boil. Remove the pot from the burner and set on a potholder.

      Add the 2 parts peppermint, 1 part feverfew leaves and 1 part rosemary. Stir with a spoon for about two minutes. Let sit for ten minutes to steep.

      After the heady tea has had time to steep, pour into a teacup and drink slowly.

      Place remaining heady tea in a glass pitcher and refrigerate for drinking later.

Tips & Warnings

  • If the tea ingredients do not work, replace the rosemary, feverfew and peppermint with wood betony and skullcap. This works as a mild sedative and is excellent for tension headaches.

  • Pregnant women should not drink heady tea. Consult a doctor before trying this headache cure.

  • Do not give heady tea to children.

  • If replacing rosemary, feverfew and peppermint with wood betony and skullcap, do not drive or operate heavy machinery.

  • Nursing mothers should never drink anything with feverfew or wood betony in it.
