You can cook a frozen beef roast in a couple of hours using a crock pot. This recipe is quick and easy to do and it makes a tasty beef roast too. Read on to learn how to cook a frozen beef roast.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Frozen beef roast (you can also use a fresh beef roast)
  • Crock pot
  • Condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • Can of cut carrots
  • Can of cubed potatoes
  • Can of green beans
  • Can of tap water (reuse the cream of mushroom soup can)
  1. Step 1

Place raw frozen beef roast into a cold crock pot.

  2. Step 2

Add in can of condensed cream of mushroom soup, can of cut carrots, can of cubed potatoes, can of green beans (best not to use French style) and add one can of water (just use the cream of mushroom soup mix can and fill to the top).

  3. Step 3

Cover and set the crock pot on low. Leave the lid on the crock pot the entire time you are cooking and cook for four to six hours on low.

  4. Step 4

When time is up, uncover and serve in bowls. Be careful, it will be hot.

  5. Step 5

You can also just cook a frozen beef roast in the crock pot with nothing else. Just place the frozen beef in a cold crock pot and put the lid on. Set the temperature to low and let it cook in it's own juices for four to six hours. Don't remove the lid while it is cooking to seal in the moisture and flavor. When the beef is cooked through, you can shred it and mix it with barbecue sauce for shredded beef sandwiches.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not pre-heat the crock pot or you could damage the unit.
  • As tempting as it is to remove the lid, don't because this keeps the moisture in the pot while the meat is cooking and speeds up the cooking process.
  • Try adding different sauces and veggies for different flavor.
  • Always wash your hands when handling raw meat.

on 8/2/2009 Good information. I like being able to just cook it instead of have to sear the sides first. Thanks
