Re-organize your fridge and pantry. Dr. Oz is not concerned with eliminating a whole food group to help shed the pounds, rather he believes that one should get rid of foods containing the following ingredients: high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, sugar, enriched flour and bleached flour.

Start eating breakfast! Eating breakfast will jump start up your metabolism. Choose items like steel-cut oatmeal, whole grain cereals, egg white omelets or fruit.

Start exercising, but start slow. If you are transitioning into Dr. Oz's diet, start off slow with your exercise and work your way up to 30 minutes of cardiovascular activity 5 days a week. Just work at your own pace.
