A kneading massage is relaxing. It eases muscle aches and gets the circulation going. You can enjoy massage therapy any time, even without a masseur or masseuse. A kneading massage machine uses small rollers to provide soothing comfort.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Kneading Massage Machine
  • Electrical outlet
  • Alarm clock (optional)

Step1
Plug a massage chair or foot massage machine into an electrical wall outlet. Look at the knobs and buttons to see how you can adjust the machine’s speed and intensity. Turn the massage machine on to experiment with the controls. Turn it off again.
Step2
Remove constricting clothing and shoes. Take off your eyeglasses, belt and watch. The aim is to relax completely without any interference.
Step3
Seat yourself in a massage chair. Breathe in and out several times, adjusting positions for maximum comfort. For a foot massager, sit in a chair that allows you to place your feet on the machine without stretching.
Step4
Turn the machine on its lowest speed. As your body relaxes adjust the controls to the deepest intensity comfortable.
Step5
Turn the machine off when your session is complete. Sit quietly for a few minutes before moving away from the massage machine.

Tips & Warnings

  • Set an alarm clock if you wish. Kneading therapy is so relaxing you may fall asleep during the process.
  • If you are pregnant, have a heart condition, or have had recent surgery check with your doctor first before using any type of kneading massage machine.
