Have you ever had real whipped cream at a nice restaurant and thought you would like to make it, too? Believe it or not, but making whipped cream is really easy. It doesn't take long nor does it require many ingredients. You will find that you can make real whipped cream as fast as you can run out and buy pre-made whipped cream. Give it a try and you will surely love it!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Heavy whipping cream
  • Stand mixer or hand mixer
  • Metal bowl
  • Sugar
  • Vanilla
  1. Step 1

Whipped cream is wonderful on cakes, pies and pretty much every other kind of dessert. Real whipped cream is smooth and tasty and much better than the store bought stuff. The first step is to add heavy whipping cream, sugar, and a little bit of vanilla to the bowl. If you use a cup of whipping cream then a teaspoon of vanilla is enough flavoring and just a couple tablespoons of sugar.

  2. Step 2

Begin beating the mixture on low because if you don't whipping cream will go everywhere. Use your whisk attachment on your stand mixer. Hand mixers work, they just take longer. As the whipped cream becomes firmer you can turn up the speed. Watch the whip cream, though, because if you let it go too long you will end up with something much closer to butter than whipped cream. Look for a soft peak. When that is achieved, turn the machine off.

  3. Step 3

As the whipped cream becomes firmer you can turn up the speed. Watch the whip cream, though, because if you let it go too long you will end up with something much closer to butter than whipped cream. Look for soft peaks. When that is achieved, turn the machine off.

  4. Step 4

Place the whipped cream on the dessert or cover the bowl in plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for when you need it.
