  • Two 15 oz. cans of black beans
  • ½ cup of salsa
  • 1 tablespoon of chili powder
  • One 16 oz. can of vegetable broth
  • Shredded Cheese
  • Sour Cream
  • 1 chopped onion
  • Chopped cilantro
  • Sauce pan
  • Masher
  • Blender

  1. Step 1

    Take both cans of beans and drain liquid.

  2. Step 2

    Mash the beans with a potato masher or save time by using a blender.

  3. Step 3

    Add both cans of beans, the salsa, the vegetable broth, and the chili powder to a medium sized sauce pan.

  4. Step 4

    Bring the mixture to a boil and it's ready to serve. As an option you can top with the shredded cheese, sour cream, onion and cilantro.
