Tea is a wonderful product. A good cup of mint tea is refreshing even on the hottest days, because you can always place it on ice. If your tea is not properly stored, however, it will ruin. Here are some tips to store tea.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Air tight container
  • Pantry or room with very little light
  1. Step 1

Store your tea in an airtight container. If you have a vacuum sealer, use the containers that come with it, or you can buy airtight canisters that are perfect for storing tea as well.

  2. Step 2

Keep tea away from moisture and light. These are both harmful to the tea.

  3. Step 3

The moisture can cause rotting and mold within the tea leaves, then your tea would be useless. To much light can cause the tea leaves to lose some of their flavor over a period of time.

  4. Step 4

Try and keep the tea at the same temperature at all times. This will help keep the tea fresh. You do not want to store at different tempatures.

  5. Step 5

Keep tea in a pantry or a room with very little light to ensure optimum freshness.
