The Audiovox CDM9000 is a little cell phone that can do a lot of things. When you first see this phone, you might pass it up because of its small size. However, many people love the phone because it has a number of features and works on several different networks. Some users may find that the phone locks up at times and displays a locked sign. While there is a code that the company provides to unlock it, that code isn’t always accessible. By following a few tips, you can unlock your Audiovox CDM9000 without using that code.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Audiovox CDM9000 cell phone
  • Pen or pencil
  • Paper
  1. Step 1

Turn on the cell phone and look for the "Locked" message displayed on the screen. This shows you that the phone is indeed locked.

  2. Step 2

Press the RCL, star (*) and pound (#) buttons at the same time and then release them.

  3. Step 3

Touch the power button, also labeled as End. This should send your phone into test mode, but if it doesn’t you’ll need to repeat the above steps.

  4. Step 4

Enter 127 and press the Send button. Your phone will then display a code made of 8 digits, which is your unlock code. Write down the numbers carefully because you’ll only need the second, fourth, sixth, and eighth numbers for your code. If the code was 12345678, your code is 2468.

  5. Step 5

Take the battery out of the phone and hold it for a few seconds. Then put the battery back in and turn the phone back on.

  6. Step 6

Push the FCN button and enter your 4-digit code. Your Audivox cell phone should now be unlocked and functioning.
