Most people have used some type of folk remedy at some point in their life. Were you ever given a glass of water with lemon juice in it to help with indigestion? This is a very old folk remedy. How about holding your breath to get rid of hiccups? This is also a folk remedy.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hot water
  • Sorghum
  • Raisins
  • Onion
  • String
  • Castor oil
  • Dill oil
  • Cool water in a bowl
  • Any fruit juice
  • 1 tsp. honey
  • Cup
  1. Step 1

To help get over the occasional flatulence, put a drop of dill oil in 1 teaspoon of honey and eat it. This will help almost immediately to rid you of gas.

  2. Step 2

Eat a handful of raisins and onion followed by a teaspoon of sorghum or molasses to help get rid of a boil on your body.

  3. Step 3

Drip 4 drops of castor oil into a glass of fruit juice to help ease your seasonal allergies. This includes sneezing, watery eyes and scratchy throat.

  4. Step 4

To heal a burn, dip the body part that is burned into cool water in a bowl for 15 minutes. Then put honey on the burn after it is dried. This will help to heal the burn and prevent infections on small abrasions.

  5. Step 5

Tie a small amount of string around your pinkie toe on your right foot to get rid of a toothache pain in the left side of your mouth. For the right side of your mouth, tie the string around the pinkie toe on your left foot. Leave the string until the ache is gone.
