How to Make Your Own Facial Scrub

Yogurt is great skin food. Many Ayurvedic beauty recipes use yogurt as a soothing, gentle cleanser for skin and hair. The lactic acid in yogurt also leaves skin elastic and smooth. Fine-ground walnuts (or almonds) provide exfoliation to remove dead skin cells and excess dirt and oil. This simple facial scrub will exfoliate and leave skin glowing and fresh.   • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/4 walnuts or almonds
  • Coffee grinder

Instructions

      Using a coffee grinder, grind walnuts or almonds until they are finely ground.

      Mix ground walnuts or almonds and yogurt together.

      Wet face and then gently massage scrub onto face with your fingers.

      Rinse off with warm water. Pat dry with a towel.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make small batches. The scrub is very perishable and won't last long in the fridge.

  • Do not use if you have allergies to nuts or dairy.
