All this, but without the styrofoam and crowds!

Having a satisfying breakfast can be tough when you're rushing and trying to get out of the house in the morning. But, cereal just doesn't do it for some people, and doesn't leave them satisfied. This article will give you some ideas for making a hearty breakfast sandwich, even if you think you don't have time to fry up some eggs!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • English muffin
  • egg
  • hame
  • cheese slice
  • salt
  • pepper

    The one minute breakfast sandwich

  1. Step 1

Take a piece of ham and cut it into cubes. Then take a small bowl or round tupperware container, and spray it with cooking spray or place a dab of olive oil in it and smear it around evenly with your finger. Crack an egg and plop it in the tupperware, and stir/beat it with a fork until mixed well. Then add the cubbed ham to the mixture, and place in the microwave for one minute. Be sure to place a paper towel over the container so it doesn't spray out as it cooks.

  2. Step 2

As the egg and ham mixture is cooking, take out an English muffin (toasted if you like) and cut it in half. If you like condiments like ketchup or mustard, spread that on the top piece, followed by a piece of cheese. The condiment will act like a glue, and help keep the cheese in place.

  3. Step 3

Take the container, when it is finished cooking, and place it over the bottom half of the muffin, then turn it over quickly and the egg will fall onto the muffin bellow. The oil in the container should prevent it from sticking, but use a fork to pry it loose if you need to. Salt and pepper to taste, then place the muffing top with cheese on top of the egg. You're all set for a warm and yummy breafast!

  4. Step 4

Try other ingredients that you may have around the house. If you want a meatless version, try tossing onions or mushrooms in with the egg before cooking. You can also use any other meat you have on hand, ham just happens to be a breakfast staple. You can also vary the type of cheese you use, it really is all up to you! Eat what you like and enjoy your breakfast!

Tips & Warnings
  • Try other ingredients with the egg, such as vegetables, even cooked potatoes!
  • Make sure the egg is cooked before you eat it! Not all oven cook times are the same
