One way that essential oils can benefit your workout routine is by increasing your circulation. This will not only improve your general performance, it will also prevent strains and injuries. Boosting your circulation will help to transfer the flow of oxygen energy to all your blood cells. This will also help to convert nutritional energy from the digestive system to the rest of your body. There are a number of essential oils that are great for this including lemongrass, geranium, cypress, juniper, ginger and bergamot. Make a massage oil by adding 20 drops of your essential oil of choice to 2 ounces of your preferred carrier oil.

When you're working out it's essential to maintain your levels of endurance. Essential oils can help with this too by boosting your stamina. When you inhale certain essential oils, their aroma can be very invigorating and help to increase your stamina and your focus. Aromatherapy oils best for this include ginger, clove, cinnamon, peppermint and pine needle. Just dab a few drops on your shirt and their smell will stay with you throughout your physical activity.

Sometimes it's inevitable that you will experience aches, pains and strains. This type of injury causes muscles to become inflamed when the fluid from damaged tendon, muscle or ligament seeps into the surrounding tissue. The resulting swelling will cause sensitivity and stiffness. Healing time can be decreased by using the following oils chamomile, juniper, geranium, rose, lavender and marjoram.
