How to Adjust the Base of a Plate Joiner
The plate joiner is commonly known as a biscuit joiner. This tool allows its user to join pieces of wood by inserting a “biscuit” into them. Coupled with the right amount of adhesive, the “biscuits” help keep the wood pieces together while the adhesive dries. Does this Spark an idea?

Lay the joiner on the table for easy access.

Locate the adjustment screws on the base plate.

Loosen the two screws for the height adjustment.

Adjust the plate up or down to the desired location.

Tighten the screws down and repeat steps 2 through 5 for the depth of the cut made by the blade.

Tips & Warnings
Fit all pieces together before gluing, to make certain the adjustments are correct.
If the tool smokes during the cut, sharpen the blade or replace it.
