Things You'll Need:
- lancet
- alcohol
- toilet paper
- Mint Julep Mask
- cotton balls
- face wash
-
Step 1
Prep your face and hands. Wash your hands with antibacterial soap and then wash your face with the antibacterial soap also.
-
Step 2
Sterilize the lancet. Take your cotton ball and put some alcohol on it. Take the cotton ball and carefully wipe the tip of the lancet off. Be careful because you don’t want to accidentally poke yourself.
-
Step 3
Locate the whitehead and take a cotton ball with alcohol to carefully sanitize the area. Use the alcohol cautiously because it has a tendency to dry your skin out. The goal if this step is to get any excess bacteria off of your skin because once we extract the whitehead, it is basically an open cut and we do not want any bacteria or germs to cause it to become infected.
-
Step 4
Take the lancet and carefully puncture the whitehead. You don’t need to go to deep. Just make sure that you have punctured the whitehead slightly.
-
Step 5
Extract the whitehead. Take six to eight pieces of toilet paper and fold the sheets together once. Then fold them again. Repeat this process with another six to eight sheets. You may prefer to do this step before you puncture the whitehead. It’s up to you. Take the folded sheets of paper and use the index finger on each hand to hold the sheets of toilet paper to the whitehead. Gently apply pressure to the whitehead. The core should come out without much effort. Once the core is out, take a cotton ball with alcohol and gently press on the whitehead. This will sting a little bit. Take a bit of your Mint Julep Mask and apply a generous portion to the whitehead. Let the mask dry for about twenty-five minutes and then wash your face again. Voila. You’re done.
