How to Make Mexican 7 Layer Dip

For those that love Mexican food and may have a vegetarian or two to cook for, the following recipe promises great taste and pleased palates.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 16 ounce can container of sour cream
  • Tortilla Chips
  • 1 package of taco seasoning
  • 2 cups of shredded lettuce
  • 2 16 ounce cans of re fried beans
  • 1 4 ounce can of sliced black olives
  • 1 16 ounce jar of salsa
  • 2 cups of shredded cheese
  • ½ half cup of chopped green onions
  • 2 diced avocados
  • 1 large chopped tomato

    How to make Mexican 7 layer dip

  1. Step 1

    Mix your sour cream and taco seasoning.

  2. Step 2

    Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

  3. Step 3

    Take the two cans of re-fried beans and the salsa. Mix them in a sauce pan.

  4. Step 4

    Cook them on a medium heat until the mixture looks smooth and blended. This should take less than 5 minutes. Try to resist sticking your fingers in for a taste. Let the mixture cool down.

  5. Step 5

    Spread ithe mix over an 11x13 inch pan once it has cooled. Add the sour cream and taco mixture afterwards.

  6. Step 6

    Add layers in the following order; cheese, olives, lettuce, tomatoes, avocados and finally green onions. This will offer the best combination for taste. Also, try to make each layer as even as possible.

  7. Step 7

    Serve with the tortilla chips and voila, you are finished. This dip makes a great snack and is perfect for a wide variety of occasions.

Tips & Warnings
  • This dip is a great starter for parties. It is easy to make and will add flavor to all those other nibbles. This Mexican 7 layer dip proved that great taste can be 100 percent meat free.
