Step1
Eat small servings of dessert once or twice per week. When it comes to eating dessert on Jenny Craig you don't have to skip all of your favorites! You do, however, have to eat small portions and not every single day. It takes time to adjust your eating habits so that you don't go back for that second cookie or slice of cake, but in time you will learn that you can lose weight, stay healthy, and still enjoy your favorite desserts every now and again.

Plan a weekly dessert night. This means that you decide that every Saturday you will have one serving of the dessert of your choice. This is a great way to manage desserts on Jenny Craig because you are allowing yourself to eat all your favorite desserts, but only once per week and only a single serving. This is the perfect compromise to lose weight and not feel like you are missing out. You won't binge, either, because you know sweets aren't off limits and all you have to do is wait until dessert day rolls around!
Step3
Allow yourself dessert only on special occasions. If you are really trying to stay strict with the diet and not indulge in sweets because you don't have the self control then allowing yourself dessert only on special occasions is a good compromise. These are the times when people feel like breaking their diets and to know that you are allowed a serving of cake or another dessert will make it easy to enjoy the dessert and say "no" to an additional serving.

If you have a huge sweet tooth then you may need a little more dessert to keep you going. A good way to do this is to allow yourself a daily dessert. This could be two Hershey kisses before bed or else a fun size candy bar. These serving sizes are small enough that they will fit into your diet plan, but they are big enough to give you the pleasure of eating chocolate and help you stay on your diet.

  • Don't be too strict with yourself. If you are then your diet won't last long term and your weight loss will return. Take is slow, eat a small serving of dessert when you want it, and enjoy a new lifestyle with dessert included!
