Becoming a new mom changes one like nothing else. Many new moms find themselves needing a whole new social circle after baby comes. Here are some tips on how to find new friends.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Go to your local library. Libraries often have baby and toddler story time programs. This is a wonderful way to have fun with your new addition and a great place for moms to meet new friends.

  2. Step 2

Get out in nature. Find a local park. Take a walk every day. Look for other stroller-pushing people.

  3. Step 3

Stop and rest at the playground. Playgrounds are wonderful places to meet new friends. You don't have to have a school-aged child to go!

  4. Step 4

Join La Leche League. If you are a breastfeeding mom, join your local La Leche League. This is a wonderful support for new mothers and a great place to meet new people.

  5. Step 5

Look for, or start, a Mom's Club. Many areas have already established mom's clubs. Ask your pediatrician, your obstetrician or your librarian for help with finding one.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't be shy. All new moms need support and friendship. Make the first move and invite a new friend (and their child) over to play!
