Step 1
Find a type of music that you can live with to play while training your animal. The best is of course going to be your favorite because you will enjoy hearing it, and your animal will sense your happiness. The worst will be upbeat and very fast tempo, because if your animal is already hyper, this will intensify that reaction.

Step 2
Have this music available on CD to play when you have a training session with your animal. For the first few sessions, your animal may act different because of never hearing this during training before. This is normal, so just continue as you normally would.

Step 3
Play this music every time you begin training, and let your animal know that when they are good, the music will play. When they are not good, or do not obey the training commands, the music does not play. Once your animal gets used to hearing the music, they will come to expect it. When it is not heard, the animal will work to get it to play.

Step 4
Repeat the new training step of introducing the music a few minutes when you are playing on a daily basis. This will help your animal to get used to the sound of 'having fun', and the sound will be associated with this reaction. If your animal gets too rowdy, turn the music off and try a different genre or style of music and repeat these steps.
