Prenatal Yoga is more popular than ever before. Not only does it help with breathing techniques, it also helps to keep muscle tonality without any pressure on the joints. It is a great way to keep fit during pregnancy. But, like most programs, a key essential is keeping the body hydrated. This is especially important during pregnancy.

  • 2 8oz. bottles of water

  1. Step 1

    Before doing any type of exercise while pregnant, check with your physician to make sure it's safe.

  2. Step 2

    Try to drink 8oz. of water before your workout. This helps make sure the body is properly hydrated beforehand.

  3. Step 3

    Drink another 8oz. of water. This will ensure you rehydrate properly.

Tips & Warnings
  • Water is always the best for hydration before and after working out.
  • Using bottled water helps cut down on the low levels of certain toxins which can be found in tap water.
  • Drinking ice cold water helps the body burn calories.
  • Avoid sports drinks. They contain high amounts of sugar and sodium. Sports drinks also often contain caffeine, which should be avoided during pregnancy.
  • Never drink any kind of soda for hydration. The carbonation often has the opposite effect on the body.
