    How to Age Muslin Fabric

  1. Step 1

Wash your muslin fabric. This will allow the tea bath to absorb into the fibers.

  2. Step 2

Take a bowl of hot water and place several black tea bags into the bowl. Allow it to sit for a couple of minute and steep.

  3. Step 3

Soak the fabric yardage into the bowl of tea. Soak the fabric until it is the desired aged color of your choice.

  4. Step 4

Let it air dry over night. The next day you can wash the aged muslin if you choose.

  5. Step 5

Use your aged muslin for the project of your choice.
