An epilator can last years if it's taken care of properly. Keeping it clean is just one way to make sure that yours provides you with years of hair-free skin. Here are some simple steps to clean your epilator.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Alcohol
  • Cotton balls
  • Thin brush
  • Compressed gas duster

How to Clean an Epilator

Step1
Sweep out any excess hair using a thin brush. Most epilators will come with one, but if not, you need one about the size of a small artist paintbrush.
Step2
Use a compressed gas duster to rid your epilator of hair. These are the "can of air" products that are generally used to clean a computer. They are also great at blasting out any excess hair that is left over from your brush. Using the straw attachment will help you get down into the epilator making the hair removal process even easier.
Step3
Once you remove all excess hair from your epilator, use a cotton ball dampened with rubbing alcohol to wipe at the tweezers. Make sure you rotate the tweezers to ensure all are clean.
Step4
Allow your epilator to thoroughly dry. Once your epilator is dry, you can replace the cap. Keeping the cap on it will keep the epilator free from dust or debris until the next use.

Tips & Warnings

  • Taking proper care of your epilator will help it last.
  • The cleaning of an epilator should be done by an adult.
  • Keep supplies out of the reach of children.
