  • citrus fruit
  • hand held zester

  1. Step 1

    Pick up the fruit you need to zest with one hand and the zester with the other hand.

  2. Step 2

    Put a bowl or container underneath the zester to catch all the grated peel.

  3. Step 3

    Place the fruit or peeling precisely on the blade of the zester.

  4. Step 4

    Rub the zester back and forth along the peel of the fruit at a steady pace.

  5. Step 5

    Add the grated peel (zest) into your recipe.
