Charging the Canon XH-A1's battery may seem simple but being a fragile electronic component, it is important that you follow the directions carefully to avoid damaging your battery or camcorder. The steps below will show you how to charge the battery using the XH-A1's included power adapter.

Instructions

    How to Charge a Battery for the Canon XH A1

  1. Step 1

    Turn the Power dial to off and push the open switch on the battery cover. Press the BATT.RELEASE latch to the left and pull out the battery.

  2. Step 2

    Connect the power cord to the power adapter and plug the power cord into a power outlet.

  3. Step 3

    Attach the battery pack to the adapter by sliding the battery in the direction of the arrow until it clicks.

  4. Step 4

    Remove the battery pack from the adapter when the battery is finished charging (the indicator light goes off).

  5. Step 5

    Unplug the power cord from the outlet and disconnect it from the adapter.
