Photoshop has long been a staple in the photo editing world. With the latest releases, CS1, CS2 and CS3, you have the ability to map your own shortcuts to increase productivity. Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A copy of Photoshop
  • A computer
  1. Step 1

Undo multiple actions. To undo an action use [Ctrl + Alt + Z]. You can use this shortcut to undo multiple actions, over and over.

  2. Step 2

Move your layers. The hand tool is the most useful feature, allowing you to reposition layers, groups and boxes. Simply press [SPACEBAR] to get the hand tool.

  3. Step 3

Switch between documents. Need to switch from one document to another? Just use [CTRL + TAB] to move between them in Photoshop.

  4. Step 4

Add a new layer. To add a new layer to your document, use the [CTRL + SHIFT + N] command. If you have something selected, you will make a new layer with your selection.

  5. Step 5

Zoom in and zoom out. Zooming in and out is probably one of the most common tasks done in Photoshop. Simply use [CTRL +] to zoom in and [CTRL -] to zoom out. If you want to fit the document to your window size, use [CTRL 0].

  6. Step 6

Make your own shortcuts. Prefer to make your own shortcuts in Photoshop? You can do that easily by going under EDIT > Keyboard Shortcuts.
