How to Hold a Pizza Eating Fundraiser

Here is an easy fundraiser to generate extra funds for your organization by using a food everyone loves, pizza!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Indoor facility
  • Tables
  • Paper or plastic eating utensils
  • Soft drinks (optional)
  • Plastic gloves for handling food
  • Sound system with Mic
  • Promotional flyers and posters
  • Prizes (donated)
  • Cash box with at least $100 in change

    What to do first

  1. Step 1

    Check with the health department to see if you will need a food permit.

  2. Step 2

    Make sure you will have enough volunteers. You will need about 10.

  3. Step 3

    Secure the indoor location. The facility should be large enough to hold about 100 people.

  4. Step 4

    Make the flyers and signs. Make sure you put the time, place, and what organization the event is for.Solicit for prizes. These prizes will go to the winners of the pizza contest.

  5. Step 5

    Designate Judges for the compitition. Using owners of local pizza establishments would be great! Decide what categories in the contest you will have, how many categories, ect.

  6. Step 6

    Secure your tables, chairs and plastic/paper plates (cups, forks, ect.)

  7. Fundraising Day

  8. Step 1

    Let each participant set up their pizza's. Each participant should have two of the same type pizza.

  9. Step 2

    The judges (no more than five) test out (taste) a slice of pizza. The remainder of the pizza is sold to the public for $1 a slice. You can also sale drinks to generate more revenue.

  10. Step 3

    The winner of each category wins a prize. (Trophy, ribbon, whatever has been decided upon.)

Tips & Warnings
  • If possible get your local pizza shops behind your event. This could ensure more of the public attending which could generate more income for your organization!
