Things You'll Need:
- Valentine's Day Cards
- Photos
- Scissors
- Scrapbooking Paper
- Glue
-
Step 1
Approach Valentine's Day early. If you are planning to send photos with your Valentine's Day cards, you'll want to get organized at least two weeks before the big day. This will allow you the time to take and print your photos and retake photos if necessary.
-
Step 2
Develop a list of the people to whom you will be sending your cards and photos. Decide if you will be sending the same photo to everyone on your list or if you will be sending specially chosen photos to each recipient. Take the photos and order the prints. 4-by-6 inch prints will work best.
-
Step 3
Purchase the Valentine's Day cards you will be sending to the people on your list.
-
Step 4
Browse the available selection of scrapbooking papers at your local craft supply store. Choose paper that coordinates with the cards you have purchased. The amount of paper you purchase will depend on the number of cards you will be sending so be sure to fully plan the project before you go shopping.
-
Step 5
Prepare your photos by trimming away most of the background and thereby emphasizing the subjects.
-
Step 6
Cut hearts from the scrapbooking paper using the trimmed photos as a guide for how large to make the hearts.
-
Step 7
Create a heart shaped pocket for your photo by gluing the heart to the inside of the card. Leave the top of the heart open and be sure to apply the glue to the edges only. Allow the glue to fully dry and insert your photo.
