Do the Get Silly Dance

Soulja Boy introduced the Crank Dat dance, and he is now a part of the latest dance crazy: new artist V.I.C.'s Get Silly. You may see a little bit of it in UNK's "Walk It Out" steps, but here are step-by-step directions on how to do the dance.

Instructions

  1. How to Do the Get Silly Dance

    • 1

Stand on your tiptoes with your legs spread apart and slightly squat down.

    • 2
      Finger positions are optional

Hold your arms up at a 90 degree angle. Finger position is optional. It is more common to see women with their fingers spread and men making fists with their hands.

    • 3

Jerk your arms, hips, and head in the same direction left and right. (Note: The faster and harder you jerk, the more likely it is that your hair will fly around.)

    • 4
You don't have to stomp. The feet move tap lightly up and down.

Tap the heels of your feet one at a time, up and down, on the floor but do not move them left or right (optional: If you turn in circles while doing this dance, then your feet would still tap up and down as you turn).

Doing the Walk It Out dance

It is optional to include the Walk It Out dance or the 2-step in addition to the Get Silly dance to make it more versatile.

Tips & Warnings

  • This is an ideal dance exercise if you are trying to work your butt or calves. Because you are on your tiptoes, your calf muscles will automatically flex and your butt muscles will tighten as you squat your legs.

  • If you have bad legs, this is not the ideal dance to do because of the tiptoe part of the choreography.
