Although they are not published in public directories, you can use the Internet to find the name and address behind any cell phone number. Things You'll Need:

Finding A Person Using Their Cell Phone Number

  1. Step 1

First you will need to find a "reverse lookup" service. These can be located quite easily using an Internet search engine. A reverse lookup service allows you to input a persons phone number, and for a small fee receive information regarding the last known name and address associated with the owner of the cell phone having that number. A popular site is www.reversephonedirectory.com

  2. Step 2

Once you find a reverse phone number lookup service, key the ten digit cell phone number of the person you wish to find into the search field.

  3. Step 3

After entering the cell phone number a screen will appear alerting you as to whether or not the reverse lookup service was able to come up with any results. If so, you can pay a small fee using your credit card and they will supply you with the name and last known address of the mobile number holder. The typical fee ranges from five to fifteen dollars (2008.) Be warned though, most sites which attempt to find a person from their cell phone number don't guarantee the accuracy of this information beyond being the persons last "known" address of record.

Tips & Warnings
  • Reverse phone number lookup sites that charge a higher fee often provide more detailed information than those that charge less.
  • Websites that allow you to find a person by their cell phone number are not to be used for illegal purposes such as stalking.
