Things You'll Need:
- Both your hands
-
Step 1
Wait for the perfect opportunity. High fives can be overused. To prevent this from happening, wait until you, a friend, or family member has done something extraordinary.
-
Step 2
Respond immediately, once you feel a double high five is necessary, begin the process. Hesitation comes across as uncertainty, not joy.
-
Step 3
Raise both arms quickly in front of your chest. Your arms should be perpendicular to your body with your elbows slightly bent and out to the side.
-
Step 4
Flick your hands towards the sky in a fluid motion. This lets your partner know you want him to slap your hands.
-
Step 5
Say, "High five!", "Way to Go!", "Great job!" or any other congratulatory saying. This emphasizes your joy for the other person or yourself.
