Step 1
This is the most important step! Copy your photos. The cheapest way to do this is to take a trip to Staples with the pictures you have chosen for your child. They have a color copy machine that costs $.39 per page. You can fit 3 pictures to each page. The pictures come out on paper, but look identical to the photos you are holding in your hand. Your child won't know the difference. Kids are great, but the chances of them ruining one of your most memorable pictures is high. It won't bother you at all if something happens to one of these color copies.

Step 2
Go shopping. Buy a scrapbook to house your new photos. You will also want to choose the pages you would like to go inside so before you head to the store design a layout on a piece of paper. Group like pictures together (i.e. your daughter's Birthday photos, your son's soccer game, etc.). Now you will want to look at the various scrapbook paper designs and choose one that goes with your group of pictures. After you have all the paper you need you need to shop for stickers and decorations for the page. You will definitely need soccer ball type stickers for your soccer page or Birthday cake stickers for your Birthday page. You will also want a few sets of Alphabet stickers to write headings or sayings under each picture.

Step 3
Be creative. Now it's time to create your pages. Lets use a soccer theme for our explanation. You have your son's soccer photos and a backdrop paper of a soccer field. You can take your soccer ball stickers and use them as a border around the edge of the paper. Your pictures can be pasted on whole or you can cut your son out of some of them and make it look like he is kicking a soccer ball on the field. Sometimes cutting the picture out has a humorous effect. Now use your stickers to spell out your son's name soccer 2008 or whatever the date was. Use your stickers to spell something like GOAL. Be creative. Another thing you can do is place your picture under some construction paper to make it look like a frame. If your son's team colors were green and white you would want to cut out a piece of green construction paper a little bigger than the picture itself and then a white piece a little bigger than that. Now paste the green piece on the white piece. The picture gets pasted on the top and you have a stand out photo.

Step 4
Kids are not that picky and they will appreciate whatever you do. They are just going to be so happy that you thought of them and that they have their very own album they can share with others. For fun when you are ready to give them the album you should wrap it up in wrapping paper. It doesn't matter what kind of wrapping paper, kids just like the idea of getting a present. You can hand it to them yourself or leave it on their bed with a note so when they get home from school they can find it and be surprised. For the note write something like "Just because I love you" or "Just thinking of you today". Kid's love that.
