  1. How to decorate an Easter Table

    • 1

Choose a light colored tablecloth. The tablecloth doesn't have to be white, and if kids will be anywhere near the table it probably shouldn't be. For a cloth table linen, iron out all the wrinkles and lay over the table. Smooth out any wrinkles with your hand. For a plastic cloth, remove it from the bag and lay flat for a day or so and use hand to ease out any wrinkles.

    • 2

Spread Easter grass out in the center of the table. The grass doesn't have to be green or plastic. Easter grasses come in many different forms and colors. For a round table make a big pile in the center. For a long table run the grass down the center the entire length of the table.

    • 3

Put a large bunny (cereamic or cement will help hold down a table cloth outside) in the center of the table. The rest of the table dressing will move out from the bunny.

    • 4

Take the two Easter baskets, filled with grass and decorated eggs and place them near the ends of the table. For a round table use one Easter basket and place it next to the bunny.

    • 5

Put pastel candies throughout the grass. For indoor events, Hershey's Kisses would be pretty and well-received. For outdoor events, bubble gum eggs would work well and won't melt if they get too hot.

    • 6

Use plastic eggs for place card holders. Cut the eggs in half if they are connected. Take a sharp knife and make a slit in the top of the egg to hold the place card. Set the eggs at each place.

Tips & Warnings

  • For a more formal affair, place spring colored candles in glass votive holders and place on the tables. Place them on pretty tea cup saucers to keep them away from the grass.

  • Consider tying pastel colored raffia bows on the backs of chairs to make them look extra-special.
