Drinking games can be a lot of fun when played with good friends. Beer pong is a classic college game but anyone can play it. The concept is easy--get the ping pong ball in the cup. But how do you set up the game for play? Here's an easy step by step guide to get going with the game.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Ping pong balls
  • Long table
  • Plastic cups
  • Beer
  1. Step 1

Find a long table that can be cleared off. Short tables make the game too easy so you need one with a good deal of length. An actual ping pong table is ideal but as long as the surface you choose is as long as a ping pong table, you'll be fine. Clear everything off the table.

  2. Step 2

Next get together at least twelve plastic cups. You can use more if you'd like, but twelve is the minimum. Set six cups up on each side of the table in a pyramid pattern so that there are three cups at the edge of the table, two cups in front of those and one cup at the peak. It should look like a triangle. If you use more cups, your triangle will simply be larger and have more rows.

  3. Step 3

Now fill all the cups 3/4 full with beer. You can put less in if you would like however you don't want to completely fill the cups as the splash of the ping pong balls will create a mess. You can also use a different liquid if you so choose.

  4. Step 4

Next form two teams with two people on each team. One team stands on each side of the table. Choose who will go first. Whichever team will be starting should be given two ping pong balls, one for each team member. You're now ready to play.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use plastic cups, as they might be knocked over and you'll want to dispose of them after drinking from them.
  • Don't use a short table, because it will make the game too easy.
