White eye shadow with a silver shimmer can accentuate youth and beauty in your face and it is especially flattering when used for parties or events.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • White shimmer eye shadow
  • Fluffy application brush
  • Well-lit make up mirror
  1. Step 1

Apply slowly first to the base of your eyelid. Use full, simple strokes.

  2. Step 2

Observe the results of each stroke. If you apply too little, it's easy to add more. However, if you add too much, it's difficult to remove.

  3. Step 3

Apply the eye shadow above your eyelid, all the way to just under the brow. By applying the white shimmer to the whole area, it gives you a base and helps to accentuate the eye.

  4. Step 4

Shake out the application brush and re-apply a little bit of the shadow to the brush. You want to put a little bit under the eyes. A steady stroke under each eye should be perfect. Putting the shadow under the eye evens out the area, makes sure the whole area looks more natural, and can even help to disguise any under-eye imperfections.

  5. Step 5

Observe the results and go over with another coat if the base of the eye does not seem fully covered.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be careful to apply make-up for the right event. If you are getting ready for work in the morning, you want to go with an entirely more light look than if you are about to go to a concert at night.
  • Have someone else help you decide how much is right for you. Sometimes others are far more objective than we are.
  • Getting some eye make up remover to your eye and starting from scratch is a better call than feeling insecure all day.
  • Less is more with shimmer eye make-up.
  • Never leave too much on if you have doubts.
