How to Set CD Volume

It's possible to play CDs on your computer so you can listen while you work. Controlling the volume will let you adjust how loud your music plays. Following these step by step instructions will let you to set the volume for the CD player as low or high as desired.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate
Step1
Double click on "My Computer." This will usually be on your desktop. If it is not, click once on the start menu. Look for "My Computer" and click once on it.
Step2
Click once on your local disk. The disk will have a letter next to it. For instance, it will look like this: Local Disk (C:).
Step3
Right click on the local disk. Go to "Properties" and click once on it.
Step4
Click once on the “Hardware" tab in the “Properties" dialog box.
Step5
Click once on the one that has “DVD/CD-ROM drives” under “Type.”
Step6
Click once on “Properties” at the bottom right of the “Hardware" tab.
Step7
Click on the “Properties" tab.
Step8
Look right below “CD Player Volume” and adjust the volume to as low or high as you want it.
Step9
Click "OK" to close each dialog box.
