How to Use Photostory 3 for Windows

Photo Story 3 for Windows is a fun program that helps you turn your everyday snapshots into creative virtual scrapbooks. The panning, zooming, and narration features make your pictures come alive. The final product is comparable to a home video.

    How to Use Photo Story 3 for Windows

  1. Step 1

    The first thing you will need is the program Photo Story 3 for Windows.

  2. Step 2

    After installation, you can open the program and get started. Select “Begin a new story” from the list of options, and then click the “Next” tab.

  3. Step 3

    Now you will select the “Import Pictures” tab to choose the photos you want to use. Once chosen, you can begin uploading them into Photo Story 3.

  4. Step 4

    The program has several editing features you can use to enhance your pictures such as red eye corrector, rotate, color corrector, and crop. You may also add effects like black and white, water color, and sepia tones to your photos. This really transform them into works of art. Once you are finished importing and editing your pictures click “Next”.

  5. Step 5

    Now you will be able to add titles and text to your pictures. You may select your font style, color, and text alignment. Then simply type your text and click “Next” to proceed.

  6. Step 6

    This screen allows you to customize the motion of your photos by choosing panning, zooming, and transition effects to apply to your pictures. You may also use the record button to narrate your story (if you have a microphone). At this point, you may preview your story by clicking on the “Preview” tab. When finished, click “Next” to advance.

  7. Step 7

    Here you have the option to add background music to your story. Choose the “Select Music” or “Create Music” tab to upload the song(s) you intend to use. Click “Next” to finish your project.

  8. Step 8

    Now you will configure your story based on its intended use. You may play it back on a computer, send it via email, play it on a Pocket PC or Smartphone with Windows Media Player 10 Mobile. Check your settings, and then save your project.

  9. Step 9

    Photo Story 3 for Windows will now build the story you created.

  10. Step 10

    Enjoy! You may share your story with friends and family. You might even choose to burn it to a DVD for inclusion in your home video collection.
